We chose to come to Zermatt the weekend that half of the Sahara desert blew across the alps. So everything was a bit sandy and brown and strangely eerie and apparently there was supposed to be a very famous mountain behind me but you’ll have to take my word for it. What I wouldn’t give for another day with my mum.
I made it to 40.
We witnessed a small miracle over the last couple of weeks. Our naturally cautious toddler went from never skiing before to telling us to go away so she could ski down the baby slopes all by herself in just 6 lessons. She isn’t even 3 yet. The ski whisperer is @helentrayfoot (and the magic skis are from @skihire2u ) Pals with kids, we will share her if you are nice to us. Me...on hearing the news that 2020 is almost over and I can distil it into a hand sanitiser bottle and lose it down the back of one of those drawers that only gets tidied because lockdown made you do it.
